A S[ecial seravice of traditional sung evensong
Friends of St. Peter's Church Festival Sung Evensong. Music includes: hail Gladdening Light A-Wood. Service in D - Walmisley. Refreshments will be served afterwards to provide an opportunity to meet old friends and new. We would love to see you there. Feel Free to invote others to come along too.

Voluntary Community and Faith Network Annual General Meeting
The AGM of the Edgbaston VCF Network will be held at Harborne Baptist Church, Harborne Park Road, Birmingham, B17 ODH on Monday September 14th 2009 at 7pm. The formal proceedings will be followed by an address from Jackie Mould, Director of Be Birmingham. It is likely that there will also be a range of short presentations from some members of the Network.

At about 8pm there will be light refreshments followed by an opportunity to speak with members of the network about their activities. All members of the network are invited to display material which illustrates their activities.

Advice Day for Voluntary and Community Groups
BBC Children in Need and a range of funders, including development agencies, are hosting an advice day for voluntary or community based groups who wish to apply for funding for work with children and young people. The day offers a chance to speak about funding
opportunities, how to apply and hear from young people themselves about what they think makes a good project. Delegates will be able to attend up to three seminar sessions on areas where they will find out how to show knowledge and understanding in order to submit a strong funding application.
It will be held at the Birmingham Midlands Institute in Birmingham on 24th October from 9.45 - 16.00. Attendance is free.

Empowerment Sharing - Policy and Practice Conference
The Community Development Foundation are holding a conference on Tuesday 21st October at the ICC in Birmingham. This dynamic and interactive day will include a
range of workshops and facilitated debates on key issues from Local action
on global environmental issues to tackle exclusion and inequalities. It will enable you to find out what the changes proposed in the new Empowerment White Paper mean for you.
